Personality-
Kayla, when she was in the lab, was a shy girl who was also a push over. The doctors and scientists crushed her spirit a long time ago, resulting in Kayla having no self confidence. She would never show any emotion around them, not even in her room which they have provided for her. She had become a lost child in her mind. Hating the way she was.
As Kayla escaped from the lab, she hid wherever she could being the silent girl who was quick on her feet. When people saw her they just ignore her, or try to make fun of her. She wouldn’t talk no matter what, and always got herself out of jams by kicking the crap out of whoever tried to cross her path.
In the institute, Kayla was the shy girl still. The professor and others in the mansion helped her be more of herself. She began talking and putting in her suggestions for missions. Soon she became outgoing, always having a smile on her face. During missions, she puts a wall around her so that she doesn’t get distracted while fighting.

Kayla can only have so much energy. She doesn’t eat often still afraid the food might be poisoned. She uses the energy she does contain for storing and healing people. With dream manipulation, she can only go into a person’s mind for thirty minutes otherwise she will be trapped in a coma all the way until the person dies.

History-
Kayla was born and raised in a lab. There they called her EXP 1 or One for short. She never knew her mother and father, never mind knowing if they were alive. In the lab, they would have her train, the reason why she has all her black belts. The doctors and scientists treated her only as an experiment. Nothing more, nothing less. Even when they figured out she could heal people, she was treated harshly. Kayla was always on a very strict diet, and weekly, scientists would poison her food just for entertainment. She learned not to eat that much food and barely drank anything. One night, she wanted all of them to go to hell. She was picturing, one at a time of how it would be like for every scientist and doctor who had laughed at her, and took pleasure in poisoning her food. The next morning they were all talking about it, and figured out it was Kayla who caused it. From then on, they strengthen her abilities so that she could become someone very important in a medical hospital or in the war. And they would threaten her so that she didn’t get them horrible nightmares.
She put up with it for years, until she was fifteen. By that time, she figured that she had learned everything she thought they would allow her to learn. So one night she let the security guards go into a long deep, dream of their deepest desires. She took out the cameras she knew were all over the room, and slipped out onto the fire escape. She was found a day later by the Professor and taken in as a student. She would barely talk, and mostly stay in her room. When training was required, she flew by the courses, but always failed when she was working with one or more people. As time went on, Kayla has learned how to tolerate, and work with one team member at a time.

Kayla was in her room reading a book when the door burst open. She was use to it doing that. There was a doctor, Brad, as he wants her to call him, with food on a tray. "Hey, baby, I got your lunch for you." He said in a stupid voice. Kayla didn't even look up from her book. The best thing to do was ignore him. "Come on girl, why do you always ignore me?" He asked looking and sounding hurt. Kayla only turned the page. Brad gave up, he put the food on the little table that was near her bed, and went out the door. Kayla's stomach started to growl from the smell of the food, but she didn't let her face show it. "Jerks trying to poison me again." She said out loud to herself afraid of what they could do to her while she's knocked out, or throwing up. Kayla wanted to give them all bad dreams. Wanted to give them nightmares that they all deserved, and worst. The food was left out, untouched.

It was now late at night. Most of the doctors and scientists were home sleeping. The others were in another room sealed off to Kayla. They would never hear her. She started her escape by letting the guards go into a deep sleep where they were around all their desires. She could out the cameras and climbed out the window. Carefully going down the fire escape into the world for the first time.
